Sunday Live Children’s Worker

About the Role

The Sunday Live Children’s Worker helps create a fun, safe, and welcoming space where children can explore faith, build friendships, and learn about Jesus.

You’ll lead a simple weekly programme, work alongside volunteers, and help shape a ministry that connects with local families.

Hours

This is a part-time role (4 hours per week), including:

  • Sunday evenings: 4:30pm – 7:30pm

  • 1 hour preparation time during the week

Plus 20 hours per year supporting special events like Easter, Christmas, and family outreach.

Sunday Live runs during the school term, with flexibility during holiday weeks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a weekly children’s programme with Bible teaching and activities

  • Prepare simple, engaging lessons

  • Support and encourage volunteers

  • Help create a safe and welcoming environment for tamariki

  • Assist with special events and services throughout the year

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine Christian faith and a heart for tamariki

  • Someone reliable, organised, and able to lead simple activities

  • A team player who works well with volunteers and families
